Our Approach

KIPP Heritage students take reading, math, science, and social studies daily. In addition to working with technology throughout the day in their classes, students also spend part of their day in an intervention block where they use technology to learn at their own levels and at their own pace. During this time, students also work in small groups with their teachers to target specific skills in reading and math. Students have approximately 60 minutes of homework each night. In addition to assigned homework from teachers, our students are expected to read at least 30 minutes per night in their independent reading books. Our teachers focus on literacy and collaboration while providing rigorous college-prep instruction. Our electives include art, music, physical education, and leadership, and our after school activities include band, competitive sports, and weekly clubs led by teachers.
